State Rooms

Exploring the State Rooms Wawel is a journey through the pages of Polish history, where the walls resonate with the echoes of royal conversations and the ambiance speaks of a bygone era of elegance and sophistication. The magnificent Envoys’ Room, with its elaborately carved ceiling and sumptuous décor, hosted important diplomatic discussions. Step into the regal legacy of Wawel Castle and immerse yourself in the allure of its State Rooms, where every detail tells a story of a kingdom’s grandeur.

Visit representative staterooms located on the second floor of the castle. It was a place of sessions for country rulers, royal audiences, royal weddings and balls. Admire fantastic friezes painted in the 16th century and see the main castle room with the king’s throne! Watch the rich interior finishing, with marble gold and many more. Feel like kings did under beautifully decorated ceilings in different rooms, with very characteristic heads in the throne room.
